What is MediSeat?
MediSeat (Korean name: 메디시트) is web booking software that clinics and beauty or hair salons in Korea use to take appointments from international guests in 10 languages. Each business gets one booking link; guests choose a treatment and a time in their own language and confirm by email, with no account, app or Korean phone number. Businesses pay KRW 90,000 a month or KRW 770,000 a year including VAT after two free months, with no per-booking commission.
Who uses it
Korean clinics and beauty businesses that see international guests and have set treatments and prices:
- Clinics such as dermatology, plastic surgery, dental and Korean medicine
- Hair salons, brow and lash studios, nail salons and skin care shops
It is not yet suited to large general hospitals with complex booking rules. The business pays; guests never pay MediSeat anything.
How it works
- The business signs up and immediately gets a booking address (mediseat.kr/name). Treatments are entered once in Korean and translated automatically.
- The business puts the link on its Instagram profile, Google Maps, website, or in KakaoTalk, LINE and WhatsApp chats.
- A guest opens the link and the page appears in their phone’s language. They pick a date, time and treatment and enter an email address.
- They type the four-digit code sent by email and the booking is received. The business gets an email alert.
- When the business confirms it, the guest gets a confirmation email in their language, and a reminder the day before.
Guests change or cancel from the email link without logging in. Times are labelled as Korea time, and prices are shown in KRW with a conversion into the guest’s currency. Payment, if any, is made in KRW at the clinic or salon.
Pricing
- KRW 90,000 a month including VAT, the same for clinics and salons
- Yearly billing: KRW 770,000 including VAT, charged once when the free months end
- First two months free
- No per-booking commission, no setup fee, no contract
Languages
Booking pages, emails and treatment details are available in 10 languages: Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Russian, Spanish, Arabic and Mongolian.
How it differs from DMs, phone calls and Korean booking apps
- Phone — time zones and language make calls hard for guests. With MediSeat they see open times and choose one themselves.
- Instagram DMs and messengers — staff translate prices and trade messages to agree on a time. Replying with one link removes most of that back-and-forth.
- Korean booking services — many require a Korean mobile number or identity check, which guests abroad usually do not have. MediSeat uses email verification only.
What it is not
MediSeat is not a marketplace. It does not list, rank or recommend clinics or salons, and it does not send customers in exchange for a commission. It is software a business uses to take bookings from its own customers through its own link.
